Statement of Faith
Our faith outlines the core beliefs that guide the mission and work of Mpowerd. Our faith in Jesus Christ, the risen Lord and Savior, is the foundation of our commitment to serving single mothers, and it informs every aspect of our service.

“The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners... to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion.” Isaiah 61:1–3

The Bible
​
We believe the Bible, both the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired and authoritative Word of God. It is without error in its original writings and serves as the ultimate source of truth, instruction, and guidance for our lives and ministry.
“All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.“ 2 Timothy 3:16

God
​
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, the Son, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. He is the Creator and Sustainer of all things, perfect in love, power, and holiness.

“After his baptism, as Jesus came up out of the water, the heavens were opened and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and settling on him. And a voice from heaven said, “This is my dearly loved Son, who brings me great joy.” Matthew 3:16-17

Jesus Christ
​
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who came to earth to live a sinless life, die on the cross as a sacrifice for the sins of humanity, and was physically resurrected on the third day. We believe He is the way, the truth, and the life, and the only path to a relationship with God.

“For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.” 2 Corinthians 5:21

The Holy Spirit
​
We believe the Holy Spirit lives within all who have accepted Christ. The Holy Spirit empowers us to live a life that honors God, strengthens us to overcome challenges, and guides us in our daily walk.

Humanity
​
We believe that all people are created in God’s image and are deeply loved by Him. We believe in the dignity and value of every individual and are committed to serving all people with grace, respect, and compassion.
“So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.” Genesis 1:27
​
“For the whole law can be summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”” Galatians 5:14
Salvation
​
We believe that salvation is a gift from God, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone. It is not earned by works but is given freely to all who believe in His death and resurrection.
“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him. There is no judgment against anyone who believes in him. But anyone who does not believe in him has already been judged for not believing in God’s one and only Son.” John 3:16-18
Community
We believe that the Church is the body of Christ on earth, called to love and serve others as He did. We are committed to living out our faith in community, building supportive relationships, and demonstrating God’s love in practical ways to a world in need.
